Our mission
The Fondation Médéric Alzheimer is recognized as a public benefit.
The Fondation Médéric Alzheimer’s main goal is to promote all social and medical-social operations destined to relieve the load of carers of people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or related and similar disorders linked to ageing.
In this perspective, the foundation is looking particularly to:
Support carers and families promoting their social role,- Become a recognized watchdog and an information tool for operations developed in France and abroad,
- Encourage and promote medical-social research,
- Support technically or financially all initiatives recognized as applicable and innovating.
The Fondation Médéric Alzheimer’s headquarters’ is in Paris.
To reach the goals defined above, the foundation intends, in particular, to use the following means:
- Setting up and carrying out aid programs for carers,
- Financial and material aid for intervening parties working in the setting defined in article 1,
- Using every type of communication about Alzheimer’s disease or related and similar disorders linked to ageing,
- Supporting all social work, at its creation or running, capable of contributing to the attainment of the goal defined in article 1,
- Organizing any action considered useful to the attainment of the goal defined in article 1,
- Financially supporting medical-social research relative to material costs and an emotional aid by the carers of the conditions aimed at in article 1 and its assessment,
- Cooperating with all organisations or administrations, in France or abroad, pursuing similar or complementary operations.
